I took the picture above of Zoe after revisiting Josh's "Day 1" entry (republished photo here for easy reference). I had forgotten that by 3 months, Hannah was able to bat the toys around the gymini. It's funny (and cool) to have to refer to Josh's entries since he is the expert in this household on what happens between Months 3 to 5. I'm thankful to be home for the rest of the year with Zoe. Month 3 is exponentially more fun than Months 0 to 2. I am done tormenting myself over whether I should/should have returned to work sooner given all that's happening there and in the marketplace.

Zoe has slept through the night two nights in a row - woo hoo! Unfortunately, Hannah woke up wailing for mommy and dada at 3 am. Josh kindly agreed to see what was up with Hannah. When he came back, he told me she was hot in her new pajamas. I asked, "How'd you figure that out?" He said, "I asked her." Sometimes I still am astonished that our baby can communicate with words. Yet another reminder to enjoy this precious time with our girls.

Early November 2008

hannah was reunited with her birthday bud shade for a play date in marin. unfortunately i have no shots of hank, shade's baby bro who was born a few weeks after zoe.

hannah is into playing dress up with her hat and bag and taking her baby for a walk. she is a parrot and i have to be careful with what i say. we have also started spelling things like o-l-i-v-e-s - her favorite food. jackie usually refers to zoe as b-a-b-y so as not to upset hannah. the funny part is she calls her that when hannah is not around or asleep too.

zozo - as hannah calls her, is coming into her own. we've been sleep training this week and she's close to sleeping through the night and is soothing herself back to sleep. she is still rather loud int he middle of it though.
