Day 6 Part 2
So we get out of the house, change the treo back to the razor since we don't want to read any more work email, stop at the bike shop for new cleats, pick up coffee and a cap, then head to Natural Resources since it's time to feed her and mom wants her weighed in.
My how time flies and all of a sudden folks are asking YOU questions!
Sorren's (who was over 10lbs at birth!) mom wants to know how to get the baby more comfortable with his dad uh, maybe if dad hung out with the baby more?
Are you really buying Gripe Water? Yes, I am - she gets the hiccups a lot and it clears them right up and she likes it. Old wives tale? could be but it works.
On the way home at the corner a young phillipina and a very geeky white guy come up pushing a stroller
"How old is your baby" she asks
"3 months" I say
"look at those cheeks..."
"Oh yours is cute too" I say
"She's 2 months.." she looks at me with sleep deprived eyes and asks "...Does it get any better?!?"
"Yes, it does, you'll be fine", I say and head across the street feeliing like a wizened old coot because I know exactly how she felt a month ago.
It feels weird, and comfortable and ironic since we're still figuring it out ourselves...but definitely a milestone.
